Exigence Group and Catholic Health: We're #1!
02.09.2011
The Exigence Group congratulates our partner, Catholic Health of Western New York! For the fourth consecutive year, Catholic Health has been named to the list of the nation’s most integrated healthcare networks. Catholic Health placed first in New York State, third in the Northeast and 30th on the SDI IHN 100 nationwide list. In the new report, Catholic Health jumped from 51st place in last year’s survey, an improvement of 21 places.
The “2011 SDI IHN (Integrated Health Network) 100,” was published on January 24, 2011, in Modern Healthcare magazine. The ranking recognizes the 100 most integrated networks nationwide, graded annually on operations, quality, scope of services and efficiency. The survey evaluated 576 health systems across the nation.
Since 2000, the Exigence Group has been the sole provider of Emergency Medicine management services to Catholic Health’s four hospitals and ambulatory care center, serving over 160,000 patients each year. Exigence programs have resulted in numerous successes including:
- Integrated patient satisfaction programs across all hospital departments
- A scribe program that improves physician-patient interaction and physician efficiency
- Decreased length of stays
- “Door-to-doc” times less than 30 minutes
- Improved Core Measures
- Less than 2% LWOTs
“Our consistent improvement over the last four years is another indicator that we continue to progress as a high performing health system,” said Joseph D. McDonald, president and CEO of Catholic Health. “Patients who select Catholic Health can rest assured they are getting great care from one of best health systems in the nation.”
Catholic Health has continually improved in the SDI survey since 2008, when it first made the Top 100 list. “While we are very pleased with our progress, we are never satisfied,” McDonald said. “This recognition is one more affirmation of the work all our associates and physicians do to redesign our healthcare model and improve care, access and quality for our patients.”
