Provider Referral Program

Program Objectives

  1. To promote the recruitment of new providers for all lines of business by offering a financial reward for the successful identification of candidates;
  2. To reduce the cost of provider recruitment to the organization; and
  3. To encourage Exigence colleagues to work collaboratively to recruit quality providers that will facilitate the attainment of the goals of the organization.

Eligible Program Participants

 1.      All active providers and staff in the organization (medical directors, partners, physicians, mid-levels and ancillary staff) are eligible to participate in this program. 

  1. Practice Management staff are NOT eligible to participate, this includes: Corporate Management Staff, Practice Managers and Site Administrators.

Provider Candidate Eligibility

 1.      Practice Managers regularly evaluate recruitment needs in their practices and will identify those opportunities which are available for compensation in the Provider Referral Program.

 2.      Practice Managers will develop and disseminate a detailed posting of “eligible” opportunities:

  1. Candidates must meet clinical eligibility requirements (e.g. education, experience, licensure and certifications);
  2. Candidates must qualify for, and ultimately be granted, medical staff membership and clinical privileges at the appropriate hospital/site;
  3. Candidates must be eligible for, and ultimately credentialed by, payers and malpractice carriers.
  4. Candidates on visa waivers (J1, H1B) are NOT eligible.

Referral Program Process

  1. The name of the provider must be presented to the Recruiter via email.
  2. Via email, the Recruiter will clear candidates unknown to the practice, or inform the referral source that a candidate has already been presented.
  3. Once a candidate name has been cleared, the referral source must provide the Recruiter with a viable address, phone number and email address for the candidate;
  4. The referral source must make the initial contact with the candidate to provide an introduction to the practice and opportunity; informing the candidate that the Recruiter will be contacting him/her within 24 hours.
  5. When a determination has been made to hire a referred candidate, and the candidate signs an agreement with Exigence, the Recruiter will inform the referral source of the:
    1. Hiring decision;              
    2. Amount of the referral compensation; and
    3. Timeline for payment.
  6. A copy of the notification above will be provided to the  CEO, CFO, Director of Operations, and the applicable Practice Manager.

 Note:  Practice Managers will be involved in this process as required.

 
Payment Policy

  1. A referral source will receive:
    1. 50% of the referral compensation once a contract with Exigence has been signed; and
    2. 50% of the referral compensation 30 days after the candidate’s start date.  It will be the responsibility of Exigence staff to effectively screen candidates, therefore, there will be no minimum number of days that the provider must remain employed in order for the referral compensation to become payable.

 Additional Conditions

  1. Candidates previously presented to Exigence by another source, including but not limited to, a professional recruitment firm, are not eligible for this program.

2.  Referral compensation will include appropriate tax filing information/forms.
