DESCRIPTION

State-of-the-art Rochester Immediate Care centers provide acute illness and injury care.  Our urgent care physicians diagnose and treat most non-life threatening injuries and illnesses in adults and children.
The Center also provides sports, school and work physicals, vaccinations, and occupational medicine services.
Customer service is the essence of our organization – we recognize that the satisfaction and care of our patients takes precedence above all else. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the care rendered by Interns, Residents, physician extenders (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners), nurses and students in the facility.
  • Prepares and maintains an adequate, legible and complete written record for every patient.  Physician shall timely complete all relevant charts and other documentation to permit proper and timely billing. 
  • Performs all services in accordance with the applicable canons of professional ethics.
  • Acts in conformance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, without limitation, the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the New York State Department of Health and all other governmental agencies which now or hereafter set standards for the practice of medicine generally and the specific medical services.
  • Performs all things reasonably desirable to maintain and improve Physician professional skills;
  • Performs such other duties from time to time, may reasonably request
  • Participate in any third party payer or managed care program to which the EXSUN is or may become a party to, including but not limited to health maintenance organizations and preferred provider organizations. 
  • If required by the managed care entity, payer or network, Physician will execute the agreement individually, notwithstanding that all fees generated by such agreement shall be processed by RIC in accordance with this Agreement.
  • Maintains personal responsibility for coverage of shifts that are assigned in the monthly schedule and begins shifts on time as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Active New York State Medical License
  • Ability to perform procedures such as laceration repair and splinting; ability to interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
  • Medical degree from accredited university and five years medical experience post-residency;
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred or Internal Medicine or Family Practice with significant emergency medicine/urgent care experience;
  •  Familiar with pediatric medicine and have competencies in performing minor procedures.
  • State and federal licensure requirements;
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification;
  • Competency with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office;
