POSITION DESCRIPTION
Night position (7p to 7a): Responsible for management of ICU patients. Responsible for performing admission history and physical exams on patients being admitted to ICU. Responsible for providing critical care consults to patients on the medical floors and emergency department. Respond to code blues on medical floors. Provider is code blue leader in MICU. Intensivist consult is mandatory on all ICU cases and co-manages patients with hospitalist service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Provider must have (or be willing to learn) the following skill set:
- Inpatient experience preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to run rapid response
- Ability to run code blue
- Central line placement
- Intubation insertion
- ACLS/FCCS certification
