Nestled in the Allegheny foothills and a short drive from major metropolitan areas, Olean offers a variety of outdoor and cultural activities.
Olean is the largest city in Cattaraugus County and serves as the financial, business, transportation and entertainment center of the county. The city is located in the southwestern part of New York State and has a population of over 15,000; the facility serves over 100,000 people.
Olean is located just 90 minutes from Buffalo, and about 3 hours from Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Toronto. Olean is a thriving college town (St. Bonaventure University) with a small community feel. Most folks that come to Olean live in Olean for the rest of their lives, and those that leave return.
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
- Level III trauma center; 186 beds.
- 24 bed ER - 8 fast track
- 35k annual census.
- Strong ancillary services.
- Established Hospitalist service.
- 10 and 12 hour Physician shifts (10 hours double coverage)
- 8 hours of mid-level support
COMPENSATION

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have or be able to obtain a New York State Medical License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Surgery
- ATLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
