Located in the southern tier of New York State, this hospital is about 2.5 hours from New York City and Albany – offering exceptional cultural attractions, shopping, nightlife and professional sports. Binghamton in just a short drive away from the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, Pocono’s, Finger Lakes and Hudson Valley regions.
Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital is a 267-bed, full-service community hospital that was recently awarded Magnet status. Leading the region in providing cutting-edge technology, Lourdes is also an IHI Mentoring Hospital with a demonstrated record of improving patient safety.
Lourdes has a 10-bed ICU, a 24/7 Hospitalist program and the ED treats over 42,000 patients each year. Lourdes employs a network of 80 primary care physicians, and independent specialists make up the rest of the 350+ medical staff. Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital is a member of Ascension Health.

COMPENSATION
Exigence physicians work as Independent Contractors, receiving:
- Competitive hourly rate
- Performance incentives
- Full malpractice with tail coverage

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Active New York State Medical License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Surgery with significant emergency experience
- ATLS, ACLS and PALS certification

All of our physicians are treated with the utmost respect and consideration. They are free to contact the corporate staff at any time should they have questions, concerns, or suggestions. And, because we feel that an hourly wage isn’t enough, most physicians are also put on a partnership track so they can enjoy the profits that their program generates. We also provide malpractice/tail insurance to ensure that, even after a physician has left the group, they are still protected from litigation.
In addition to Emergency Medicine programs, Exigence also manages Hospitalist programs, urgent care centers, dermatology clinics and even a primary care office. We have presence in five states: New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas and Nevada, and are rapidly expanding; this year alone we plan to add three urgent care clinics and an ER.
